Bendigo FLKangaroo Flat’s Britney Fitzpatrick is quite possibly the youngest player to have graced the courts in the Bendigo Football Netball League but the fruits of her labour have paid off with the Round 18 CVGT Rising Star nomination.

BRITNEY FITZPATRICK, KANGAROO FLAT

Britney first joined the Roos in 2005 having only just turned 13.  Now in her fourth year with the 17/Under team Brit has taken on a leadership role, one that she does by example on court.  Playing in the mid court, Brit in an attacking force in centre or wing attack yet is versatile enough to play in the goals when required. 

Britney’s list of netball credits is extensive including Bendigo Football Netball League squad representative (2005-08), Striker’s Regional State League and Marist netball champion at the Marist Carnival and Catholic All Schools Tournament 2008. 

Whilst playing with the Marist team at the Victorian All School Girls tournament recently Brit injured her knee but she is confident that she will be back on court leading the young Kangaroo Flat team in its finals campaign.

Britney will receive a voucher courtesy of the Foundry Hotel Complex.
