Gippsland

MAFFRA has fallen to fifth position on the Gippsland League netball ladder after a loss to Leongatha on Saturday night.

The 37-19 defeat at home was the Eagles' first of the season, while the Parrots moved into fourth position, ahead of Maffra on percentage, with the win.

Sale registered its first win of the season with a 54-32 victory at Wonthaggi on Sunday. The Power remains winless after three rounds.

Also on Sunday, Traralgon won a tight tussle against Drouin, 47-43 to remain unbeaten. It was the Hawks' first loss of the season.

Morwell is on top, ahead of Traralgon on percentage, after its 64-41 win over Moe on Saturday.

Bairnsdale opened its season account with an 81-19 drubbing of Warragul 19.

North Gippsland

ROSEDALE is the only beaten side after three rounds of North Gippsland netball.

The Blues defeated the previously unbeaten Traralgon-Tyers United 50-31 on Saturday.

With the loss, the Bombers have fallen to fifth place on the ladder.

Also on Saturday, Churchill defeated Sale City 43-38 at home. The Cougars trail second-placed Heyfield on percentage.

Heyfield moved into second place after inflicting Cowwarr's first defeat, 43-30, on Sunday.

Woodside defeated winless Glengarry 30-24, while Gormandale defeated Yarram 31-29 for its first win of the season.

East Gippsland

STRATFORD sits clear on top of the East Gippsland ladder after defeating Wy Yung 37-30 on Sunday.

The loss was the Tigers' first of the season, with Stratford the only side unbeaten after three rounds.

Lindenow opened its account with a 44-27 win over Boisdale-Briagolong.

Lucknow had a 79-22 win over Paytesville, and Lakes Entrance defeated Orbost-Snowy Rovers 38-36.
