LONGWOOD Football Club has gone back-to-back with wins in the Kyabram District Football League.
But unlike two weeks ago, when it won by 123 points against Undera, the Redlegs came from behind at three-quarter time on Saturday to win by 26 points against Rushworth.
It was Longwood’s first back-to-back wins since joining the league in 2010.
“We go into every game thinking we can win it,” an excited coach Nick Brown said.
“We had our four first-choice forwards out, so we mixed and matched our forward line a little bit and changed a few things up, so we were a bit more unpredictable than normal.”
Meanwhile Thornton Eildon won its first game since Round 18, 2015 — a wait of 714 days — when it beat Yea on Saturday by nine points in AFL Yarra Ranges Senior Football Division 2.
