darleyThe Courier | DARLEY coach Jarrod Edwards says the brand of football his side played last week would knock off any side in the Ballarat Football League.

The Devils pushed aside premiership favourites Redan by 32 points to claim the all-important third spot on the ladder. They now find themselves in the cushy seat where if they beat Sunbury this week, they all of a sudden have the double-chance in the finals.

And with the inclusions ofJake Edwards and Darren Leonard, they will go in as hot favourites to do so.

“Last week was the best we’ve played in a long time, if we can repeat that then we will make it hard for any team come finals,” Edward said.

“Not for one second are we taking Sunbury lightly though.”

For the young Lions, coach Rick Horwood says his side has nothing to lose.

“There’s no expectations on us, we can play with no pressure at all,” he said.

“This is the chance for a lot of our guys to have a breakout game.”
