waubraThe Courier | WAUBRA key forward Mark Nunn will miss his team's crunch clash with Central Highlands Football League reigning premiers Bungaree on Saturday.

Nunn sustained a quadriceps injury in the Roos' hard-fought triumph over Creswick last weekend and has not recovered in time to take on the Demons.

He is joined on the list of outs by youngster Lachie Johns, who is battling a thumb issue.

However, the Roos will be buoyed by the return of important duo Jimmy Rushton and Nick Aringo.

Rushton was unavailable for the game against the Wickers, while Aringo was sidelined with an ankle injury picked up in the win over Hepburn.

Waubra coach Grant Luscombe is confident his team will measure up against last season's champions, and he has every reason to be as the Roos head into the round nine match undefeated and in third place on the ladder.

"We definitely think we can win going into the game," Luscombe said.

"We are confident and have been playing good footy. It's another big test and we've had a few lately. It's another we need to perform well in."

Bungaree has also managed an undefeated start to its title defence.

The Demons have made two changes to the team that easily accounted for Skipton last weekend, with Jack Oostendorp and Steven Ryan named on the interchange, replacing Edward Linke and Alex Browning.

Onballer Chris O'Keefe has not been selected despite looming as a chance to return from a calf injury.

Bungaree coach Heath Pyke is wary of a Roos side that toppled the Demons in a thrilling qualifying final last season.

"By all means they are definitely a genuine threat to us and we are definitely going to have to play some of our better footy to get the points on the weekend," Pyke said.

PREDICTION: Bungaree by 23 points.
