LaharumWimmera-Mail Times| LAHARUM has continued its league dominance, outclassing Edenhope-Apsley by 25 goals on Saturday.

The Mountain Men took the lead early and restricted the Saints to just three goals for the match.

The final score was 28.14 (182) to 3.4 (22).

Laharum coach Shannon Argall said the side’s good defensive pressure contributed to the win.

“It was a good result for us,” he said.

Young gun Joe Harrison was a  clear standout for the Mountain Men, booting eight goals.

Jason Przibilla kicked seven and Mark Dorward kicked six.

Argall said Sam Winfield was also a standout for the side.

“He’s in a real purple patch at the moment in terms of his form,” he said.

“There were other guys as well who played well but didn’t get in the best, like Ollie Harrison and Brett Ervin - both those guys were fantastic.”

For the Saints, Addison Milner and Jeremy Kealy were named in the side’s best. Coach Grant Coxon said Milner had plenty of the footy.

“Alex Baum was also a standout, playing his first game back for a while,” he said.

“Overall the boys put up a real contest.

“For the first 10 minutes of each quarter, it was fairly even, but Laharum’s strength wore us down and the goals just started to pile on.

“It was better than what happened a month ago, when we lost by 32 goals.”

Coxon said the side was now working on getting players back from injury.

“The next few weeks we will come up against three teams we beat in the first half of the year, so we are looking forward to getting back on the winners list,” he said.

“We just have to be able to maintain our pressure and work on our delivery and ball use.”
