MURRAY: Nathalia forward Brendon Parker was on a high last week after bagging a century of goals for the fourth consecutive season.
The former Carlton player kicked his 100th goal during Nathalia's 42-point win over Echuca United.
Park, 36, is a former Morrison medallist in the Goulburn Valley Football League and has racked up 459 goals in the past four seasons with the club.
He kicked his first 100 goals for Nathalia in 2004 and was instrumental in the club's 2005 premiership, its first in 27 years.
The former Newtown-Chilwell player kicked 120 goals last year to help the club to another flag.
First-placed Nathalia plays third-placed Barooga today at Park St Oval.
Sheen eyes 100 club
ELLINBANK DISTRICT: Speaking of centuries, there must be something in the water of south-eastern Victoria.
The Ellinbank and District League boasts three century goalkickers this season.
The feats of Longwarry superboot Ryan Donaldson are well documented, but Donaldson isn't the only league player notching up big bags of goals.
Bunyip spearhead Ryan Ablett, nephew of Geelong legend Gary, surpassed the 100-mark earlier this year as did Catani forward Owen Fitzpatrick.
Now it's Cora Lynn forward Darren Sheen's turn to join the club.
Sheen sits on 98 goals with two rounds remaining after bagging a staggering 16 goals last week against Warragul Industrials.
Two goals against eighth-seeded Nar Nar Goon today would see Sheen become the fourth Ellinbank footballer, and eighth VCFL player, to reach 100 goals this year.
Opray hits milestone
ALBERTON: Meeniyan Dumbalk United netballer Allyson Opray will add another feather to her cap today when she plays her 450th game for the club.
The club treasurer has served the Alberton side on and off the court for 31 years.
Opray captained the C Grade side to a premiership in 2002 and was awarded her first best-and-fairest last year after seven runner-up placings.
The mother of two earned a life membership with MDU in 2004 in honour of her contribution to the club.
Opray will take to the court for MDU when it hosts Wonthaggi Power.
Tight at the top
NORTH CENTRAL: Birchip Watchem has lifted the tempo with three games left in the season.
The second-placed side heads into today's game against league leader Wedderburn with a narrow lead over the third and fourth-placed sides.
Wedderburn has dropped one game this year – an eight-point loss to Wyche-Narraport in Round 13 – and enjoys a strong rivalry with Birchip Watchem.
The top-of-the-table Redbacks defeated Birchip by 25 points in Round 3.
The Bulls reduced the margin slightly in Round 10 when they lost by 21 points.
The two sides are fending off concerted attacks from third-placed Charlton and fourth-ranked St Arnaud.
Boort is one win out of the top four and could slip into the finals with a win against Charlton today.
Last year's premier, Donald, remains at the bottom of the ladder and out of finals contention.
Tooradin celebrates
CASEY CARDINIA: Tooradin Dalmore will honour its 1977 and 1997 premiership teams with a reunion before next Saturday's game against ROC.
