This weeks weekly award winners for the Bendigo Football Netball League.BENDIGO BANK PLAYER OF THE WEEK
PAIGE RYMER-HAMILTON, GISBORNE FOOTBALL NETBALL CLUB
Gisborne’s Paige Rymer-Hamilton started her illustrious netball career as a fill in player when the Gisborne Football Netball Club first joined the Bendigo Football Netball League in 2000.
Since those early days Paige has gone from strength to strength winning numerous club best and fairest awards as well as the League’s Jenny Holborn medal in 2003. Paige has also represented our League successfully on a number of occasions in the past nine years.
After taking a year off netball to live in Queensland in 2006, Paige returned home in 2007 to marry Stuart Hamilton. Once the honeymoon was over Paige returned to the netball court and was a regular player until pregnancy sidelined her late in 2008.
A loyal club person, Paige offered to co-coach this year’s A Grade team and along with Simone Neal-Trevallin has done a commendable job to date. Gisborne’s A Grade team are currently placed second on the ladder and will tackle ladder leader Sandhurst on their home court today.
Having given birth to a baby girl, Emmy, in April this year, Paige has returned to the court to strengthen the B Grade line up.
Paige will receive a Bendigo Bank prize pack including a $25 voucher for her commitment to the Gisborne Football Netball Club.
