For the consecutive week Sale City dropped the points, the anticipated clash against third place Heyfield turning into a one sided affair.Ravaged by injury and illness the week prior, City were looking to bounce back but were unable to match Heyfield who firmed their hold on a top three finish with an 18 goal victory, 47 to 29.
City now scheduled to meet another final contender Gormandale in round 19.
Glengarry and Churchill fought out a nail biter last years grand finalists holding sway to win by one at the final whistle.
Cowwarr proved too strong for Stratford winning 40 to 37.
A 61 goal thumping of opponent Boisdale provided Gormandale with a much needed boost to their percentage.
Top of the table Woodside found themselves among the goals also shooting 63 to seventh placed TTU’s 34.
