A new look Sale City lineup worked hard to hold off TTU in a tight low scoring contest which saw the Dogs prevail by three goals.
Woodside made it two from two as they ran away comfortable victors over Cowwarr.
Rosedale proved too strong for Boisdale the Blues building on their lead at each change of ends to record a 30 goal victory, 59 to 29.
While Heyfield continued their impressive start to the season claiming the points over Stratford 41 to 25.
On Sunday Gormandale continued their dominate start to the season with a comprehensive 17 goal victory over Churchill.
