Week Three Netball - Preliminary Final Action

NGFLPreliminary Final action saw three of Glengarry's four netball sides book a grand final berth.  Hopes of all four sides securing a Grand Final berth were dashed on Saturday after the B Grade side was outplayed against the TTU Bombers.

Finishing the season in third position the Magpies lost their opening final before returning to the winners list in the elimination Semi Final. Failing to keep with the Bombers in the second half of the match TTU went on to advance to the Grand Final with the undefeated Rosedale lineup their opponent.

TTU 40 to Glengarry 29

Glengarry's Under 17 side started proceedings the side maintaining their solid form of the season to record a strong six goal victory over a persistent Gormandale lineup. The youjng Magpies will now meet minor premiers TTU.

Glengarry 32 to Gormandale 26

The Magpies D Grade side finished the season undefeated however felt the effects of the weeks break dropping their Semi Final encounter against Gormandale. Making use of the double chance the Magpies regained their composure to hold off last year's grand finalists Woodside.

Glengarry 35 to Woodside 29

Reigning premiers C grade followed suit handing Stratford a comprehensive 17 goal defeat.

The Magpies blew the Swans away in the opening term setting up a handy buffer, one that they would extend at each change.

Reeling from the narrow one goal loss to TTU last Saturday the Magpies stamped their intentions, sending a message to this week's opponents that it is going to be one battle.

Glengarry 37 to Stratford 20

In the A grade Sale City were unable to repeat their mid season victory over TTU, the Bombers senior side far too strong for the Dogs.

Rebounding from last week's 10 goal loss to minor premiers Rosedale, TTU looked the goods the side far too strong in many contests across the court. The Bombers 16 goal victory booking the side their first Grand Final appearance in four seasons.
