Bendigo FNL - Rnd 10 Netball Award winners

Bendigo FLThis weeks weekly award winners for the Bendigo Football Netball League.

BENDIGO BANK PLAYER OF THE WEEK

KELLY DUNN CASTLEMAINE FOOTBALL NETBALL CLUB

Playing 150 games for the one club is a fantastic achievement and one that Kelly Dunn of the Castlemaine Football Netball Club achieved recently.  Since first joining the Magpies in 2000 she has been an integral part of the club’s netball operations.

On court, Kelly has played in the Under 19’s, B Grade, A Reserve and A Grade over the years.  A resourceful player, Kelly has played in both attack and defence, her versatility bringing her personal success winning the club’s runner up best and fairest in 2000 and best and fairest for B Grade in 2006.

Off court, Kelly’s talents are many and essentially for many years she has been the netball backbone of the club completing a variety of match day administrative tasks including the netball match reports.  Kelly has also been a tireless worker on the social committee ready to assist with any of the functions held by the club.

This season Kelly’s work commitments have become more demanding and others within the club have had to try and fill Kelly’s shoes.  It is not an easy task and one the Magpies are still trying to do.  All at the Castlemaine Football Netball Club congratulate Kelly on her remarkable 150 games for the club and thank her for her commitment and dedication to the club over the past ten seasons.

Kelly will receive a Bendigo Bank prize pack including a $25 voucher.

CVGT RISING STAR

MIKAELA WILSON STRATHFIELDSAYE FOOTBALL NETBALL CLUB

Strathfieldsaye Storm’s Mikaela Wilson has made an impact on her team and club in her first year in the Bendigo Football Netball League.  Mikaela first began her netball career at the age of eight playing grade 3Netta with her primary school, St Joseph’s.  Progressing to the junior ranks at Golden City Netball Association, Mikaela continued her netball learning with Brumbies, Bendigo United and Boomerangs.

A 17/Under team member, Mikaela has strengthened the junior team with not only her mid court skills but also the great communication she provides throughout the match.   All at her club wish her great success at the Storm.

Congratulations Mikaela on your CVGT Rising Star nomination.
