The Kingprint Lexton Plains Football League has two undefeated teams following round two played Saturday.
Rokewood-Corindhap is one, after it ran away from a plucky Carngham-Linton.
The Grasshoppers were pushed during the first half, but after changing some aspects of its game plan at half time, gained control over last years runners-up to record a satisfying 38 point win, 13.9 (87) to 7.7 (49).
In the opening half both teams were indirect, sloppy with their use of the ball and turned it over far too often.
The low score up to the main break truly indicated neither team held the ball long enough to inflict any major damage.
But after the long break, Rokewood-Corindhap became more direct, played basic football and gained ascendancy as the half wore on.
Carngham-Linton selected a small running side, but ran out of legs toward the end of the game.
The loss of many play makers from last year has affected the make-up of the team, with players who would in the past have been perfect foils all of a sudden becoming the key players.
The Saints had chances to take a big lead into half time, but failed to capitalize and gave Rokewood-Corindhap the opening.
The game was highlighted by full forwards at both ends.
Rokewood-Corindhap's Tom Mullane-Grant booted six, while at the other end Clint Ladiges was wasteful at times, but still managed four.
Both players sit atop the goal kicking table with 11.

Skipton won a bruising encounter against Navarre on Saturday and is the second unbeaten team.
The Emus were without coach Tim McKay (calf), while Darren Fletcher and Jake Harris were unavailable, but it did not stop them registering a 40 point victory, 16.8 (104) to 9.10 (64).
Trailing at quarter time for consecutive games, Skipton played more direct in the second term to set up the game in its favour.
Kiernan Molloy (five goals) and Tim Beacham (four) were instrumental in Skipton's win.
For the second week in a row Navarre registered more behinds than goals, and against a top line team paid the price.
Dean Gibson and Bryce Tickner were named best for the Grasshoppers.

Lexton won its match with Ararat Eagles, but again had a fight on its hands.
Gradually increasing their lead each quarter, the Tigers won 10.12 (72) to 7.5 (47).
The 25 point margin is the largest in five matches between these clubs.
The win gets Lexton on the board, and will be used as a springboard for upcoming matches.
Rob Mosby played well for his new club, while Mark Sheehan continued his good start to the year.
Eagles joint coach Dennis Bell said after his teams match last week "the boys had a crack."
And again the Eagles put together an effort which will be taken as a positive.
Brendan Hinchliffe and Richard O'Connell were leaders on the field.

Natte-Bealiba broke its duck with a 19 point win over Illabarook.
The first half was a tight contest with a heavy shower of rain falling during the second term.
But with eight second half goals to four, Natte-Bealiba got on top to register the 10.8 (68) to 7.7 (49) score line.
Former coach Brent Mortlock was best for Natte-Bealiba while current Illabarook coach Brian Lovison was best for the Bulldogs.
