COWWARR underlined the importance of efficient conversion as they thrashed Boisdale by 12 goals.
The Saints kicked 11.3 (69) in the opening half whereas the Bombers struggled to convert their shots at goal sealing four majors from 12 opportunities as the Saints steadily increased their lead to an 21.11 (137) to 8.17 (65) trouncing.
After a dogged opening term, the Saints found their groove piling on goal after goal to dominate the second term.
The Bombers looked to make the most of their opportunities forward of the 50 metre line but struggled to clear Cowwarr's defence of Cory Bannister and Kevin Hood who continually ran off their opponent to set up play and drill the ball forward.
Boisdale's Dylan Bolton failed to outmuscle Hood in the one on one contest and even when he ran off the defender he was besieged by a number of Saints.
While at the other end of the ground the Saints forwards had no problems troubling the defenders, Anthony Erdley added another to his tally after a snap in the goal square.
It was quickly answered by the Gieschen brothers who looked to combine, Winston's long kick into the goal square eluded the hands of brother Andrew, before Justin Hunt roved the pack to swoop on the ball and snap the visitors fourth.
Consecutive misses to Bolton before the half time siren, failed to reign in the Saints 37 point lead 11.3 (69) to 4.8 (32).
Cowwarr opened the second half as they started the first with the opening major; before play concentrated between the two ends as both sides desperation was evident with neither side able to make clean play.
Luke and Lee Cooper were making their presence felt in the Saints engine room, the pair combined with Todd Dobson made light work of the Bombers midfield who worked hard for each possession.
On the run the Bombers looked impressive but continually failed to find targets up forward, while the Saints benefited from a strong forward presence.
Clever work by Dobson saw the midfielder tap the ball in front of himself, before a snap shot at goal saw the Saint redeem himself from a missed attempt minutes earlier.
Winston Gieschen responded from the centre bounce to goal, before Darren Hallyburton had the Saints third for the term as they continued to blow the margin out.
Robbie Ferguson quickly added another from outside the 40 metre mark ahead of the final term.
Consecutive goals to the Saints early in the fourth doubled the visitors score before, Bomber Danny Pratt goaled after an impressive passage of play which saw the Bombers run hard through the centre corridor.
Kenny Marshall set up the Bombers second for the term, but it was all Cowwarr as they booted six quick majors to skip away to a solid victory.
Saints coach Bannister was named best on field while Frank Morgan was impressive for the Bombers.

Grimes was the pick of the forwards kicking six while Mahoney and Whykes made the most of their opportunities in front of goal with one each.
For the fifth placed Blues Daryl Mayman and Dominic Keating were among the best while Matt Hazelman received a call up and made the most of his opportunities with three majors.
