The Ballarat Football League will see a new breed of footballers take to the field as the Ballarat Youth Girls competition opening round kicks off this weekend. The Girls have been preparing to battle it out over a 7 week competition including a Finals day to determine the first Youth Girls Football League Premiers. The opening matches will see Redan take on Sebastopol followed by Ballarat vs. Golden Point this Sunday at White Flat Reserve with game 1 starting at 12pm and game 2 at 1:30pm.
It is sure to be a great day of football with two entertaining matches followed by the North Ballarat Eagles, who are scheduled at around 3pm to take the field at the completion of the Youth Girls matches. The Eagles, sitting on top of the ladder take on second placed Bendigo in what is sure to be a thrilling contest and worth sticking around for.
Clubs are still looking for players to join and experience the first ever Youth Girls Football competition in Ballarat. Registration forms are available from each club or can be picked up from Saxon House at 1431 Mair Street, Ballarat 3350.
