Once again the girls fought it out in wet and muddy conditions at the Western Oval, but still produced some outstanding football for spectators with plenty of goals kicked over the day.

Sebastopol came up against top of the table Ballarat and after a solid win in round 2, the Burra's were looking to bring that good form into the match. However Ballarat's class prevailed after a scrappy start with Lori Stepnell leading the way with 4 goals to run out comfortable winners by 66 points.

Golden Point looked to take it up to Redan in the second match of the day, who was looking to hold onto second spot on the ladder. The first half had a close battle on both sides' hands, with Redan's inaccurate kicking, keeping Golden Point in touch heading into the main break.

Redan finally found the big sticks adding 5 majors in the third and a further 4 in the final term to win by 67 points. Jenna Bruton Battled hard for the Pointies booting three goals, but was outclassed by an outstanding 5 goals from Ashlee Gercovich.

Overall there was some fantastic footy played across the day with the next half of the season sure to bring plenty of entertainment and enthralling contests.
