Game 1 saw third placed Sebastopol take on second placed Redan in what looked to be match of the round with both sides starting to play some great football.

With many onlookers expecting a close encounter, they were unfortunately disappointed as Redan raced out to a 22 point lead at the first break. Although Sebastopol was able stem the flow of goals for the remainder of the game, Redan ran out comfortable 49 point winners on the day.

Gercovich and Bokma each kicked two goals, with Hayley Smith awarded best for Redan. Amanda Boers kicked Sebastopol's only two goals and was clearly best afield for the Burra's.

Top of the table leaders Ballarat faced a determined Golden Point who was looking for their first win of the season. However Ballarat continued on their good form not only in attack but in defense as well, keeping Golden Point to just the single goal for the game.

Ballarat went on to win by 70 points but could have been even bigger if it wasn't for some inaccurate kicking throughout the day.

Abby Cummings added another 4 goals to her season tally, while Jenna Bruton continues her good form for the season with the 1 goal.
