TOCUMWAL firmed as Murray League flag favourite after a 16-point win at Tongala on Saturday. With two wins and percentage separating the undefeated Bloods and second-placed Tongala, the minor premiership is theirs to lose.
"Everyone knows we don't want to get too far ahead of ourselves, as that could be fatal," Tocumwal coach Stuart Roe said.
"The minor premiership, if we can finish on top, especially with the five, we get a rest before the first final and freshen up, that would be great."
Elsewhere, Zac Griffiths kicked six goals as Drysdale defeated 2008 Bellarine League grand finalist Torquay by one point.
Wentworth replaced Imperials at the top of the Sunraysia League ladder after defeating them by 15 points.
Doveton dealt Pakenham its first loss of the Casey Cardinia season and grabbed top spot with a 39-point win.
East Gambier won the derby against South Gambier to move to second in the Western Border League.
