A 10-GOAL haul from Robert Gregg helped Lake Wendouree surge into Ballarat League flag contention with a 37-point win against second-placed Darley. Lake Wendouree coach Matthew Battistello said it was great to win against the highly rated Darley.
"It was a fairly exciting day," Battistello said.
"We've given ourselves an opportunity to finish top two and we can definitely take confidence from this game."
Queenscliff is closing in on its first Bellarine League finals appearance since 2004 after beating premiers Geelong Amateurs by 17 points.
Drysdale continues to set the pace with a 92-point win against fourth-placed Ocean Grove.
Callan Potter kicked seven goals as Gisborne snapped a two-game losing streak in beating Kyneton by 144 points in the Bendigo League.
Central Murray League sharpshooter Luke Livingston did not kick a goal, but was among Kerang's best in its 40-point win against second-placed Balranald.
Premier Boort threw the North Central League season wide open with an 11-point win against Birchip-Watchem.
West Gippsland Latrobe ladder leader Maffra suffered a shock 20-point loss at home to Drouin. Moe's 68-point win against Traralgon enabled it to claim top spot from the Eagles.
