VCFL Under 19 Representative Match
The WorkSafe VCFL Under 19 State team were beaten by 24 points by the Victorian Amateur Football Association (VAFA) Under 19 team in a tightly contested match at Elsternwick Park on Sunday.
This is the third time the Under 19's have played each other since 2007 with the ledger now 2-1 in the favour of the VAFA.

The Peter Knights medal for the best player in the VCFL team was awarded to Jack Geary of Golden Square in the Bendigo Football League.
Nathan Horbury (Redan) was selected by the VAFA panel as the VCFL's best player. Horbury, a small forward from Redan in the Ballarat Football League, kicked 6 goals in an impressive display of creative and tenacious forward play.
Other better players named for the VCFL team were:
Jack Geary, Nathan Horbury, Ned Gilbert (East Point, Ballarat FL, Ruck Rover), Thomas Durward (Tatura, Goulburn Valley FL, Back), Josh Hamilton ( Lavington, Ovens & Murray FL, Ruck) and Richard Clements (Karingal, MPNFL, Rover).
Worksafe VCFL Senior State Team
The initial training squad for the WorkSafe VCFL Senior State Team will be released later this week.
The Senior State Team will be competing at the Landmark Australian Country Football Carnival in Canberra between 22-25 July.
Barooga Sports Club VCFL District State Team
An updated squad will be posted this week for the District.

The VCFL umpiring staff will be running its next round of Umpiring Academy training sessions for elite umpires this week in Geelong, Mildura, Horsham, Bendigo, & Warrnambool with Bendigo and Sale next week.

Beaconsfield beaten by a point by Keysborough. Austin Jones' team sits 2nd on the ladder on percentage after its first loss for the season.
