Skipton scored its eleventh win of season 2010 in the Kingprint Lexton Plains Football League Saturday defeating Carngham-Linton by 45 points, 11.9 (75) to 4.6 (30).
The Emus remain two games clear on top and it will take a major crash by them to be dislodged.
There are just four games remaining and despite a tough three weeks coming up, they should be able to claim their eighth minor premiership.
Conditions at Linton were slippery, as it was everywhere, but Skipton got more results for its hard work than the Saints.
Skipton full-forward and the league leading goal kicker Tim Beacham did not play, but Skipton still had numerous options up forward.
Coach Tim McKay booted three, with Kiernan Molloy and Joel Riske both kicking one goal each.
However to shut down all of the options was too big a task for Carngham-Linton.
The Saints started brightly with the first goal, but the next seven belonged to Skipton.
It certainly wasn't for lack of trying, but Carngham-Linton was simply beaten by a better team.
It will take a lot of work over the next month, then lots of luck in the finals for Carngham-Linton to progress through finals.
GOALS, Skipton: Tim McKay 3, Nick Watson, Josh Grist 2, Joel Riske, Kiernan Molloy, Brendan Partridge, Danny George 1.

Rokewood-Corindhap maintained second spot on the Kingprint Lexton Plains Football League ladder with an important win against Navarre at Navarre Saturday.
Despite not scoring in the first quarter, Rokewood-Corindhap had leveled up at half-time before running away with the game after the main break.
The southern Grasshoppers won by 37 points, 9.13 (67) to 4.6 (30), in a one-sided contest over the final two terms.
The win came at a cost however with captain Leigh Russell dislocating a knee during the game.
Navarre was too easily brushed off the ball, particularly after quarter time, an area that will need to be addressed to be competitive come finals.
Coach Ben Martin was best for the northern Grasshoppers, while opposition coach Tom Mullane-Grant kicked three majors.

Natte-Bealiba finally had a result in its favour, scoring its first win in seven games with a 34 point win against Ararat Eagles at Natte Yallock Saturday.
The Swans were consistent with their goal scoring, booting two in each term to record 8.11 (61) to 4.3 (27).
However it was the two first term goals that set up the win for Natte-Bealiba, as it was kicking into the wind.
A knee injury to Anthony Ross soured the victory.
Brent Mortlock booted three goals for the winners, while Jibb Iglesias slotted home two for the Eagles.
It was the closest the Eagles had got in weeks, but for them the bottom line is that it is still another loss.
