The first Premier of 2010 - Swifts Creek
Omeo District Football League - the underdogs Swifts Creek had a big win against Bruthen to take the first Grand Final in the VCFL. Swifts Creek sought retribution for last year's GF in which they went down in a high scoring match.
This year, the tables were turned - The Creekers were 5 goals ahead at half time and went on with the win infront of a good crowd at Ensay.
Swifts Creek 22.12 (144) defeated Bruthen 13.10 (88)
GRAND FINALS THIS WEEK
Picola District FL - North West: YARROWEYAH v STRATHMERTON

Upper Murray FNL - BULLIOH v FEDERAL
Up in the hills, Federal have sounded a warning shot to favourites Bullioh with a convincing 56 point win over Border Walwa. Bullioh have only lost one match for the season though - and that was to Federal in Round 1!
Warrnambool and District FNL - DENNINGTON v KOLOARA NOORAT
Kolora Noorat just got over the line by a goal to secure themselves a place in the WDFL Grand Final against a gallant Panmure. Dennington are the clear favourites but Kolora are looking for back to back flags and are confident and fit.
Lexton Plains FNL - LEXTON v SKIPTON
Skipton almost let the chance slip away with 2 quarters of football that saw a strong lead slip away before ¾ time. Lexton has exceeded expectations in the finals, and a week off could be the difference in what should be a classic GF at Eureka Stadium in Ballarat.
Heathcote District FNL - HEATHCOTE v LOCKINGTON BAMWAN UNITED
LBU have won the right to take on the champions Heathcote this Saturday. LBU were good in an entertaining match against Elmore with VCFL reps Adrian Dohnt and Kahl Oliver amongst the best. They will all have to bring their A-Game to have any chance against the powerhouse of Heathcote.
Other interesting results and fixtures to watch:

Colac & District FL - Birregurra by a point against Irrewarra-Beeac on the weekend. These two teams have built a great rivalry over the last few years and were the Grand Finalists last year. Alvie stand in the way of a replay of last year's Grand Final.

Hampden FL - A big crowd should be on hand for the cross town clash between Sth Warrnambool and Warrnambool this weekend for the Semi Final. South has had a hot 6 weeks, while Warrnambool has been the front-runner all season.
