As reported by the Herald Sun, former Essendon chief executive Peter Jackson will head a review of country football ordered by AFL boss Andrew Demetriou.Demetriou announced the review yesterday after the shock exit of Victorian Country Football LEague chief executive Glenn Scott.
Scott was sacked on Friday, angering AFL chiefs.
"Glenn Scott has been an outstanding CEO of the VCFL" Demetriou said yesterday.
Jackson will look at layers of governance on country footy and options to bring the VCFL under the umbrella of Football Victoria.
The VCFL controls about 80 country leagues across the state.
