We should start with one of the most outstanding efforts of recent times with spearhead Peter Cook of Barnawartha kicking 23 goals last weekend against the Wodonga Saints in the Tallangatta League. Cook kicked just 5 points for a total individual score of 143 points.
Off the back of the performance, Cook now heads up the season goalkicking tally across the VCFL with 60 goals for the season. As Cook told the Border Mail - "To be honest, I didn't do a lot wrong." Love the understatement of country football !!
2011 WORKSAFE COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS
Our focus this week turns to the WorkSafe Country Championships with our top 20 VCFL Leagues going head to head for the 2011 WorkSafe Country Championships.
With either promotion or relegation on the line for all leagues, there is much to play for. Please see the way the cards will fall for next year below for the prognosticators amongst you.
