GOALKICKERS

Well done to Luke James from Kilcunda Bass for being the second past the 100 goal post in senior footy this season.

AROUND THE GROUNDS - WEEKEND WRAP

Bendigo - Eaglehawk put the squeeze on the other contenders with a good win against Strathfieldsaye. It is a race to who will be the conteder against Golden Square in the GF.

Central Murray - Tooleybuc-Managatang have cemented their position on top of the Central Murray ladder with a narrow win over Kerang. They are two clear with Kerang, Tyntynder and Koondrook-Barham all level on 32 points

Ellinbank - Big margins across the Ellinbank League with winning margins of 31, 15, 16, 20, 13 and 15 goals. Catani "Got the close one", defeating Nyora by just 2 goals.

Gippsland - Morwell showed that there is fight in the Tiger yet by defeating the top placed Sale by 2 points in a cliff hanger.

Golden Rivers - The great rivalry between Murrabit and Nullawil continued on the weekend with a 1 point victory to Murrabit. Murrabit now a game clear on top to Wandella and Nullawil

Goulburn Valley - Euroa has had a break out match to notch their first win for the year against the Shepp Swans. The margin - 1 point.

Heathcote FL - Heathcote have suffered another loss, this time to Leitchville Gunbower. Inaccurate kicking hurt the reigning Premier. The battle at the top is now between LBU and Elmore.

Omeo - Defence takes a back seat in the Omeo League again this week with some high scoring matches. 98 goals scored in 3 games of senior footy!

Ovens & King - Speaking of high scoring games...Benalla All Blacks and Bonnie Doon kicked 21.12 and 21.5 respectively in their clash on the weekend. Enough to drain the battery in the car for all of the tooting.

Wimmera - Warrack Eagles had the ego dinted with a near 100 point loss to the Horsham Demon juggernaut. Warrack is looking to end the amazing 8 premiership run of the Horsham Demons this year and injuries did not help Schultz an co. this week

Western Border - When Portland looks behind it on the ladder, it must feel like the whole of Mount Gambier is breathing down its neck. West, South, North and East Gambier fill the next 4 spots on the ladder. Portland current favourite for the flag although last year's premier in West Gambier is starting to show some form.
