Bell Park in the Geelong Football League kicked 38.18 for their winning score against Grovedale. It was raining goals in Geelong on the weekend with St Mary's kicking
29.13 on Sunday also.
Finals Time. Strange to say, but here we are. Finals start this weekend in the first league in the VCFL with the Omeo District Football League getting the finals campaign started. 1st Semi Final this weekend with Bruthen playing Swan Reach at Ensay Oval. Not much to split the teams. My Tip - Swan Reach in an upset.
Two more players crossed the 100 goal threshold on the weekend with another 4 breathing down the neck. Well done to Jason McRae of Dartmoor and Tony Pierri from Wahgunyah for reaching the personal milestone.

We take Barass up to Lockington for a cracker of a WorkSafe Game of the Month in the Heathcote League this weekend. LBU to play Elmore - 1 v 3, with Elmore coming off a narrow loss. All roads lead to Lockington on Sunday.
AROUND THE GROUNDS
Alberton - Foster has beaten Kilcunda Bass by 4 goals in a warning shot for finals time. Teams sit 1 & 2 on ladder.
Ballarat - Sunbury have started to talk premierships after demolishing Darley by 153 points. Looking very good.
Central Murray - Kerang defeated Swan Hill in the 3 v 4 match on the weekend to get a mental edge come finals time.
Ellinbank - Garfield has suffered its first defeat of the year in an upset against 4th placed Bunyip.
Bellarine - An incredible draw was played out between the top two teams in the Bellarine with Geelong Amateur and Queenscliff on 100 points each. Could be the stuff of legend.
East Gippsland - Lindenow powered past 2nd placed Wy Yung to grab top spot on the ladder.
Golden Rivers - Wandella beat arch rival Nullawil by 28 points to move up a spot.
2nd v 3rd clash.
Heathcote - Elmore beaten by White Hills by 2 points. Elmore now 3rd with top placed LBU next weekend. White Hills in 4th.
Mallee - top of the table clash in the Mallee with Ouyen United continuing good form against Beulah in a 28 point win.
Mid Gippsland - Boolarra suffered another late season defeat against Newborough. Newborough moves to 4th on equal points.
Mininera - Upset with Moyston Wilaura defeating SMW Rovers by 40 points to hold 3rd position. One of the great rivalries in country footy.
Murray - Echuca United beat perennial finalist Moama by 4 points in a nailbiter. Cobram and Deni Rams look to hold top spots into finals run.
North Gippsland - Sale City showed its dominance when playing 2nd placed team Glengarry and beating them by 10 points. Sale City still undefeated.
Ovens & King - Moyhu and Benalla All Blacks was the match of the round and didn't disappoint. Margin 7 points in the 1 v 3 fixture.
Picola - Berrigan fired a warning shot to ladder leader Jerilderie playing out a draw despite having 5 less scoring shots.
South West -Tyrendarra got a game clear in 2nd place defeating Coleraine by 66 points. Coleraine in 3rd position.
Upper Murray - looks like a race in two for the Upper Murray flag. Federal and Bullioh having solid wins.
Wimmera - 2nd played 3rd in the Wimmera and it was a close one. 1 goal the margin between Warrack Eagles and Dimboola.
Yarra Valley - Div 2 - Closest contest for the minor Premiership with Emerald and Seville split by just .3% and equal on points. Emerald the victors on the weekend in
