Following on from the recent handing down of the ‘Review of Football in Country Victoria' by Peter Jackson, the WorkSafe VCFL Board met on Saturday to discuss the reviews contents and are now in a position to provide the following comments from the WorkSafe VCFL President Nicholas Rolfe.
"The WorkSafe VCFL agrees that it is in the best interest of country football to have more resources on the ground throughout country Victoria. Additionally, the WorkSafe VCFL also agrees with Peter Jackson's comments within the report for the need for detailed financial analysis to be undertaken and that the WorkSafe VCFL will be working with Peter Jackson over the next 12 months with a view to achieving a result which is in the best interest of country Football".
Rolfe also went on to say that,
"Given the WorkSafe VCFL had represented country football since 1927 as a member organisation, that it would also be important to meet with as many affiliates as possible in the near future to gauge their views in relation to the review's 25 recommendations.
The first of these meetings is scheduled to take place on Friday the 18th of November 2011 at Visy Park".
