A disappointed Leitchville-Gunbower will look forward to next week's bye after coming up short against an ominous Lockington-Bamawm United today, with the Cats winning 18.11 (119) to 9.7 (61).

Lachie Collins starred for the Cats with a seven-goal haul as the team returned to something like its best football, accelerating away from the Bombers after a tight first half.

Liam Main and Jarod Bacon (three goals) were also among the best for the home side, while Matt Hawken, Jack Lunghusan and Joel Donehue (three goals) tried hard for Leitchville-Gunbower.

■ Heathcote took the Bombers' spot on the ladder with a 69-point win against Elmore, 20.16 (136) to 9.13 (67).

The Saints led by eight goals by half-time and eased to the comprehensive win through the efforts of best-on-ground Marc Millard (three goals), Daniel Russell and Jake Condon, while Linc Frost kicked six goals.

Anthony Pierri also booted six majors for the Bloods, who were led by James Drake, Michael I'Anson and Bryce Scott.

■ After a tight opening term, Huntly slaughtered Mt Pleasant 24.16 (160) to 7.7 (49).

Chris Gleeson kicked seven goals and Daniel Lloyd four, while Jaydon Cowling, Angus McKinley and Lachie O'Toole were the most impressive for the Hawks.

Jarrod Findlay, Chris Black and Mitch Collins were the home side's best.

■ A dominant opening term saw North Bendigo comfortably defeat White Hills 17.21 (123) to 7.14 (56).

Aarryn Craig starred for the Bulldogs alongside Josh Gitsham and Daniel Sipthorp (three goals), while Ash Craig also kicked six majors.

Charlie Bowyer (three goals) was the only multiple goal-kicker for the Demons, while Hayden Wright, J McMahon and David Wright were the team's best.
