Moama did not have it all its own way in its home match against Rumbalara, but survived to win 18.14 (122) to 12.14 (86).

Only five points separated the teams at half-time, but 10 goals to five in the second half secured the victory for the Magpies.

Tyler Jones and Jake Kilmartin kicked 11 goals between them, but it was the likes of Josh Maddox, Daniel Thorp and Simon Maddox who exerted the most influence.

Eric Edwards booted five goals for Rumba, while Des Morgan, Ryan Hudson and Rob Power were their best.

■ Echuca United found the attacking drive it wanted in its comprehensive defeat of Tocumwal, 31.11 (197) to 1.4 (10).

The Eagles kicked nine, six, seven and nine goals in each of the terms, with Guy Campbell (eight goals) the main beneficiary.

Duane Hueston (four goals), Cam Parker (five goals) and Scott Beattie were also influential.

Scott Baldwin, Dalton Sanderson and Jacob Hore were the best for the Bloods.

■ Tongala was unable to claim the win it craved against Congupna, as the Road won 16.9 (105) to 12.11 (83).

The visitors won the game in the third term with four goals to none, with all other quarters closely fought.

Kaine Greening, Paul Kennelley (three goals) and Braden Lambert led the way for Congupna, with Matt Hodgetts also kicking three majors.

Tom Donnell (three goals) starred for the home side, with Daniel Cox and Jordan Souter also impressing, while Andrew Reid booted four goals.

■ Numurkah stunned Deniliquin Rams with a six-goal to one final quarter seeing the Blues triumph 17.14 (116) to 14.6 (90).

Brent Chapman and Mark Brown shared seven goals between them for the victors, who were led by Mitch Jones, Nick Fothergill and Corey Dunn.

Nick Howe starred in his 100th game for the Rams, while Lachie McDonald and Hayden Barker tried hard for the home side, with Troy Bartlett also kicking three goals.

■ Finley led Cobram by 59 points at half-time and eventually triumphed 18.15 (123) to 12.9 (81).

Ryan Bongetti (three goals) led the way for the Cats along with Tim Robertson and Reid Crowe, while Steve Patten and Kamen Ogilvie also kicked seven goals between them.

Logan Morey, Adam Svarc and Simon Rudd were the best for the Tigers.

■ Nathalia stunned Barooga with a huge win at home, 22.18 (150) to 3.1 (19).

Matt Davies, Tom Nihill and Adam Hickey were the most impressive for the Purples, with Davies, Ben Hitchcock, Jason Limbrick and Bowen Smith all kicking three goals.

James Hazelman, Sam Ryan and Mitch Sim tried hard for the Hawks.
