Seymour kicked five goals to one in the final quarter to overrun Rochester, 12.7 (79) to 9.10 (64).

Saad Saad booted seven goals for the home side in the 15-point win, while Luke Gestier added three for the visitors.

Paul Colbert, Saad and Rob Douglas were the Lions' best, while James Brain, the returning Ash Watson and Ben McPhee tried hard for the Tigers.

■ Benalla re-established itself as a major threat for the premiership with a 12.14 (86) to 10.17 (77) win against Mooroopna.

The Saints kicked three goals to one in the final quarter to snatch the victory, although the Cats will be kicking themselves after booting 2.9 to 4.2 in the third term.

James Martiniello, Todd Rogers and Harry Moran were the best for Benalla, while James Marks, Mitch Keddell and Shayne Lynch were the most impressive for Mooroopna.

The three goals to Mooropna's Rob Osborne were the most for the game.

■ The other game saw Tatura defeat Shepparton Bears 16.14 (110) to 5.5 (35) after only four points separated the sides at the first break.

The Bulldogs kicked 7.5 to no score in the final quarter to run away with the match.

James Wall (two goals), Rian McGough and Tim Lanyon starred for Tatura, with Bill Hicks and Jye Warren each kicking three goals.

Rowan Hiscock, Zach McKinnis and Ash Holland were the Bears' best.
