TTU return from the weeks break confident they can continue their match winning form which saw them record their second win of the fixture.
Sitting two games behind the top three in fourth position, CHURCHILL will take to the road following what has been a blistering fortnight for the Cougars.
It has been far from lean pickings for the Cougars who have taken all before them including inflicting the reigning premiers with one of their biggest defeats in recent seasons.
Continuing to improve and evolve the man at the helm of the Cougars Allan Chandler said "while we are seeing some improvement in some areas but this needs to continue if we are to make finals." The improvement in the past fortnight since his sides narrow loss to Heyfield has seen opposition sides take note with the Cougars four quarter efforts the talk of the competition.
In contrast TTU's season has been a mixed bag, by no means outplayed in several contests the Bombers have failed to find a way to get the job done when it mattered and will be looking for redemption in the second half of the fixture.
The match is a must win for Churchill, the Cougars will be well aware of the stakes the next few weeks will have on securing a final berth as the competition moves towards the pointy end of the season. But it will be far from a one sided affair with the Bombers having plenty to prove in the final 10 matches of the season.
Heading into round 11 on the back of one of their greatest defeats of the season GLENGARRY will be out to compose themselves and flex their muscle in their encounter against the Demons.
No different to this week's opponent YARRAM will be out to keep its finals pulse beating with a gutsy win required against the reigning champions. Boasting a 4 - 5 record the Demons must win to maintain their hold on a top five finish.
With both sides end of seasons ambitions weighing heavily on the result, spectators are set to expect a tight contest which may be decided by the side whose backline takes control of the match from the opening bounce.
Feeling the effects of injury both sides resolve has been tested in past weeks with their cavalry stretched. This week's opponents have felt the full brunt of Churchill, while Yarram also succumbed to a sleek Heyfield line-up despite throwing down the gauntlet to remain within arms reach.
Noting ahead of last rounds clash that the result against Churchill would "provide a good indicator as to where the side is at," Glengarry coach Ryan Potter will know that the opportunities to stay in touch with the front runners are fading with Saturdays clash crucial.
Looking forward to the contest against Yarram the Magpies are the last side to meet the league's new comers. Being the last to have drawn the opening contest against the Demons, Potter and his chargers will be aware of several aspects of the Demons game plan and will be confident that they boast a blue print game plan that will lift the Magpies back into the finals race.
Notching up their ninth straight victory there appears little stopping HEYFIELD and their dominance on the competition.
While the Heyfield coaching panel would be unlikely to go as far as to describe the side's performance as their most clinical, it didn't halt the competitions number one ranked side from brushing aside Yarram to seal a 59 point victory.
With just the one victory to date, GORMANDALE would have seen last Saturday as a chance to improve their season ledger and would be reeling from a lost opportunity. Bursting out of the blocks running rampant against Woodside, the Tigers faded with little left in the engine to run out a full four quarters.
Gormandale coach Luke Henderson will be under no illusion as to the enormity of the challenge the Kangaroos pose. Henderson will be fully aware that his side can ill afford to allow Heyfield to blow out to a commanding lead in the opening term; otherwise they will be relegated to playing catch up footy against one of the competitions powerhouse sides who will be eager to record their tenth straight victory.
In their current form it is hard not to look past the Kangaroos to extend their winning streak.
COWWARR have boasted a near flawless record at home and will be out to redeem themselves from what was a disappointing showing against Sale City.
Sitting in a log jam in eighth position a win this week has more than the four point weighting associated with the victory. With Yarram and Glengarry doing battle and Woodside drawing the bye, the Saints could catapult themselves into the five leap frogging the opposition below if they can hold BOISDALE/BRIAGOLONG at bay.
Meeting the Saints on the rebound is going to be a tough assignment for the young Bombers who will need to be at their best to topple their more fancied and experienced opponent. With a finals berth on the line, the Saints will be eager to return to the winners list with a tough month on the fixture nearing with matches against Churchill and Yarram on the horizon.
However the Saints can ill afford to take the Bombers lightly, with the side nearing full strength following a horror run with injuries to the sides top tier of players Boisdale/Briagolong could be due to cause one of the upsets of the season and shake the competition up.
WOODSIDE, SALE CITY and ROSEDALE have the BYE.
