The Bulldogs extended their winning streak to eight with the 18.21 (129) to 7.10 (52) victory over the Demons in front of a massive crowd at Tint-a-Car Oval.

The result was a 106-point turnaround on their meeting in round three when the Demons upstaged the Bulldogs by 29 points.

"We didn't have to say much to the boys before the game to get them up and about. They were really looking forward to this one and, again, everything we asked of them, they did," North Bendigo co-coach Rob Bennett said.

The game was only a contest for the first quarter.

After the Bulldogs led by two points at the first break, they added 15 goals to four after quarter-time in another convincing performance from the HDFL's hottest team at the moment.

"We fell into some bad habits early in the game like we did against them last time, but we addressed them at quarter-time and turned it around," Bennett said.

"We brought three guys up from the reserves today (Ryan Gow, Josh Williams and Jay Weston) and they just jumped straight on board with the other guys.

"The guys are all going about it really professionally this year. They look after themselves, recover really well and anything we instruct them to do, they are willing to do.

"They think about their footy passionately, hold themselves in high regard and want to commit to the cause of what we're doing, so that's really positive."

Midfielders Daniel Sipthorp and Tyson Findlay (three goals) again set the tone for the Bulldogs to be their best players, while Cameron Lomas continues to revel in his new run-with role, this time taking the points over Hayden Wright.

Aarryn Craig kicked four goals for the Bulldogs to be the leading goalkicker on the ground.

White Hills have now dropped three games in a row since their win over reigning premier Lockington-Bamawm United and fallen three games outside the top three.

Consistent big man Matt Lehane, Caillum Brady and back pocket Brodie Johnson in his senior debut played well for the Demons.

As well as Johnson, the under-manned Demons had another first-gamer in ruckman Alex Purtill.

"We played a good first quarter, but to North Bendigo's credit, we couldn't match their intensity for the rest of the game," White Hills coach Shaun Makepeace said.

"We kept chipping away, but were just outclassed by a better side."

• Mount Pleasant notched its third win in a row, kicking away from rivals Colbinabbin in the first quarter of their transferred match to Huntly's Hy-Line Australia Oval.

The Blues led by eight points at three quarter-time, before finishing with a burst of 6.2 to 1.2 in the final term to win 14.9 (93) to 7.13 (55) and reverse the hiding they copped from the Grasshoppers earlier in the season on Good Friday.

"It was a really tight contest and similar to last week (against White Hills) where we were able to nail the important goals when it counted," Blues coach Derrick Filo said.

"We're not getting too far away from where we want to get to, but the challenge is to be able to perform consistently week in, week out... we're getting there.

"One of the things we're focussing on in the second half of the year is to do better than we did against each team in the first half and put some good form together."

Kain Robins bagged five goals for the Blues and was named their best player. Nathan Whipp and defenders Tim Hill and Chris Black were also standouts for Mount Pleasant.

The loss was Colbinabbin's third in a row, with all three defeats having been games that were up for grabs at three quarter-time.

"We were always in the game, but they got the momentum in the last 20 minutes and that was it... it's a bit of the story of our year," Colbinabbin coach Phil Morgan said.

"I'm not disappointed in the endeavour; the boys are having a go every week, they keep turning up to training and we'll have another go at it next week."

Will Morrow, Lochlan Sirett and Hadleigh Sirett were the three best players for the Grasshoppers, who still remain within one game of the top five following White Hills' defeat to North Bendigo.

• Seven goals from star recruit Jonathan Hay helped Lockington-Bamawm United to a 90-point win over Elmore.

The Cats beat the Bloods for the 10th time in a row with the 21.10 (136) to 6.10 (46) victory at Elmore.

"Jon was a really strong target for us today and gave us a good focal point," Cats coach Adrian Dohnt said.

"We threw him forward against White Hills in the last quarter a couple of weeks ago and he was lively and we've kept him there since with Kahl Oliver and Lachie Collins out."

As well as seven goals from Hay - who has spent most of the season at centre half-back before his recent switch forward - Jeremy Mundie kicked four for the Cats.

Hay and Mundie were both among the Cats' best, along with Leigh Deledio and midfielders John Halloran and Marcus Angove.

Peter Harrison (two goals), Rhys Mehlstaubler and Bill Longford played well for the Bloods, who after kicking three goals in the first quarter only kicked three for the rest of the match.

• Leitchville-Gunbower held Heathcote goalless in the first half of its 69-point win over the Saints at Prendergast Oval.

The Bombers made it four wins in a row and maintained third position with the 16.11 (107) to 5.8 (38) win.

The Bombers led 8.5 to 0.3 at half-time, before the Saints were able to kick five goals in the second half.

"We knew it was going to be a slog in those conditions, so we were really focused on bringing our intensity in the first half to set up the game," Bombers coach Marty Shadbolt said.

"There were times we didn't play great footy, but what was really pleasing was the way some of our younger players were able to stand up."

Joel Helman and Ryan Hocking both kicked five goals for the Bombers, whose best were Will Brereton, the consistent Jye Keath, Shadbolt and Steve Pretty.

Luke Carroll and the in-form duo of Daniel Carroll and Kyle Seidel were the pick of the players for the struggling Saints.
