malleeflSea Lake-Nandaly Tigers welcome Hopetoun to Berriwillock for the first match of the Mallee Football League's 13th round. The Devils narrowly avoided a scare in their match last week, but were good enough on the day to come away with the points.

They will need a full team effort if they are to record an upset and claim two wins in a row. The Tigers will be disappointed with their finish to their match against Beulah, and will no doubt hit Hopetoun hard from the first siren. Ben Webster has been a lone hand up forward so far this season for The Devils, and the Tigers will need to shut him down. Hayden Drew and Liam Price have been working well together through the Hopetoun midfield and will match it with whoever the Tigers throw at them.

There are plenty of players lining to up to get in the best each week for the Tigers each week, and this match will allow plenty of the young runners to get plenty of the pill. Darcy Ryan's quick legs will prove difficult to stop, and Col Durie is always a threat. Luke Martin has been dominant all season for Sea Lake-Nandaly, and this week won't prove any different.

Beulah head north to take on Ouyen United in a game that could be tighter than ladder positions suggest. The Blues have depth and talent right across the ground, but The Demons can quickly get a run on if they get a sniff.

Beulah's defence has been miserly all season thanks to Tom Hallam and Fabian Dorbolo, but Bradley Vallance has got the Ouyen forward line functioning dangerously well. Marc Hahnel will need plenty of support around the stoppages from the likes of Ben Mole and Ben Gregg if the Demons are to break through Beulah's solid half back line.

Lachy Foott and Denis Redden are yet to be contained in front of the Beulah goals and will no doubt be targeted for some close attention. Tyler Lehmann and Brock Orval have shown that they can go forward and kick goals from the smallest of opportunities, and they may yet be called upon to do just that if the Demons can tighten up down back.

The final match of the round over at Rainbow should be a cracker, with Jeparit-Rainbow taking on Woomelang-Lascelles. The Cats have flown under the radar this season, but keep getting the job done each week. While the Lakers haven't enjoyed the same success this year, they have been getting better each week and are poised to record an upset sometime soon.

Trevor Johnstone was best on ground for the Lakers last week, and his influence around is exactly what the team needs. Tyler Edelsten always gives plenty, and Elliot Bath is a difficult match up for any opposition. The Cats have been sharing the load with players ready to stand up right across the ground.

Gun forwards Jayden Lonergan and Corey Kelly kicked 9 goals between them last week in difficult conditions and will be brimming with confidence. Jamie Church and Brodie Adcock continue to leave nothing on the park, and their ability to win the hard ball typifies this Woomelang-Lascelles side.
