SEN | Ex-Collingwood star Alan Didak has leapt to the defence of former coach Mick Malthouse. Malthouse came in for criticism from Brisbane midfielder Mitch Robinson who revealed he made it “very tough” for him to enjoy the game during his time at Carlton.
Didak, a 2010 premiership player, dual All-Australian and best and fairest winner under Malthouse, fired back at Robinson’s claims.
“Players from 1-18, they used to love Malthouse, and from 18-25, they’d like him, and after that players hated him because they weren’t getting a game,” Didak told SEN’s The Sporting Capital.
“I believe that Mitch, at Carlton, was one of those players (outside the 25), and I think Mick did him a favour in the end.
