Carlton FCSEN | Carlton is monitoring the situation surrounding in-demand Collingwood assistant coach Justin Longmuir, according to Mike Sheahan.

Longmuir is a leading candidate to secure the vacant senior coaching role at Fremantle having enhanced his credentials specialising in backline and team defence at the Magpies. The 38-year-old served as a development coach at the Dockers before joining arch-rivals West Coast in 2011, spending the next seven years under John Worsfold and Adam Simpson.

Sheahan understands the Blues would like to partner Longmuir with senior coach David Teague for 2020.
