nthgiplogoGippsland Times |IN its first blemish of the North Gippsland netball season, unbeaten Rosedale drew with Churchill 47-47 on Saturday.

The draw at Rosedale maintains the Blues' four-point lead to Churchill on the ladder heading into the long weekend general bye.

It was one of two draws for the round, with Traralgon-Tyers United and Woodside finishing level at the final whistle, 22-22.

Cowwarr, Heyfield and Sale City closed the gap to second place to six points with victories.

The third-placed Saints defeated Yarram 58-24, the Kangaroos defeated Glengarry 50-42, and the Bulldogs won at Gormandale 43-23.

EAST Gippsland netball leader Stratford defeated Orbost-Snowy Rovers 39-19 at home.

Boisdale-Briagolong lost at home to Lakes Entrance 30-21. The Bombers have fallen to seventh place with the Seagulls rising to fifth.

Second-placed Wy Yung was too strong for bottom side Paynesville, 72-23.
