Gippsland Times | CHURCHILL advanced to the North Gippsland netball grand final with an upset 45-44 victory over minor premier Rosedale.
The defeat in Saturday's second semi-final at Churchill was only the Blues' second loss of the season.
The Blues' season is still alive as they will contest this weekend's preliminary final at home against Woodside, which defeated Heyfield 36-31 in Sunday's first semi-final at Heyfield.
After finishing the home-and-away season in third place, the Kangaroos were knocked out of the finals with two successive defeats.
In B grade, Glengarry moved into the grand final with a 46-43 defeat of Heyfield on Saturday.
Traralgon-Tyers United ended Rosedale's season with a 36-33 win on Sunday.
Heyfield advanced to the C grade grand final with a 36-32 victory over TTU in the second semi-final.
The Bombers will play in the preliminary final against Woodside, which defeated Sale City 33-23 in the first semi-final.
Sale City lost to Churchill 41-36 in the D grade second semi-final.
Heyfield will meet the Bulldogs in the preliminary final after its 34-22 win over Yarram in the first semi.
In the under 17s, TTU defeated Sale City 35-22 in the second semi-final, and Yarram won the first semi 37-30 against Heyfield.
Heyfield defeated Woodsdie 30-25 in the under 15s second semi-final, and TTU defeated Sale City 27-23 in the first semi.

A grade: Rosedale v Woodside, 2.15pm.
B grade: Heyfield v TTU, 1pm.
C grade: TTU v Woodside, noon.
D grade: Sale City v Heyfield, 11am.
Under 17s: Sale City v Yarram, 10am.
Under 15s: Woodside v TTU, 9am.
