League Review | A New look Huntly marked a first-up victory on Heathcote’s court in Saturday’s round of the Bendigo Bank Heathcote District Football Netball League’s A-grade netball competition.
The Hawks faced a challenging hit-out against Heathcote which had won at North Bendigo in the season’s opening game the previous Saturday.
New players in Huntly’s A-grade team were Sarah Chalmers, Taylor Mann, Keely O’Brien and Laura Parkhill.
The play of goal attack Sophie Disher and Eenjes at goal defence were key factors as the Hawks went on to win 48-29.
Heathcote was not at full-strength, with a considerable out being co-coach Brooke Bolton, but that did not diminish from the performance of the Emily Eliades-coached Huntly.
