The BFNL extend a huge congratulations to Claudia Mawson who has recently been invited into the Victorian Fury squad and wish Meg Williams the best for a speedy recovery and return to the court as soon as possible after a recent ankle injury, unfortunately ruling both members out of the BFNL 2022 team.

However, this provides an opportunity to boost our Open squad with some exciting additions. The BFNL welcome Chloe Langley and Chloe Gray, both from South Bendigo who will strengthen our attacking end. Together, Langley and Gray bring versatility and know exactly what is required to play at the highest level, both representing Victoria and currently playing in the Victorian Netball League with City West Falcons and Southern Saints respectively.

We also welcome and congratulate Gisborne's Kirby Elliot who has been elevated into the squad to add further depth to the defensive end of the court. Kirby is an incredible athlete who is in her first year in the BFNL, and brings similar VNL experience, currently playing for Melbourne University Lightning. Open Coach Jayden Cowling said, “I would like to congratulate and welcome Chloe, Chloe, and Kirby into our squad, and am confident they will thrive from this the opportunity. I am extremely excited about leading the BFNL Open Team into the Association Championships this Sunday and we will do everything in our power to make the league proud”.
