Match Reviews | The Harlowe Huntly Hawks broke through for their first victory of the A-grade netball season in Saturday’s 10th round of the Bendigo Bank Heathcote DFNL action.

It was a dramatic finish to the clash between Huntly and Mount Pleasant on the Hawks’ court at Strauch Reserve.

Mount Pleasant led 9-8 at quarter-time before the Kym Bell-coached Hawks struck back to lead 22-21 by the long break.

In the third quarter it was Huntly which increased its buffer by a goal.

The brown and gold led 34-32 at a quarter to play.

Although the Anthea McCleary-coached Mount Pleasant won the final term, 14-13, it was Huntly which clawed its way to a 47-46 victory.

Leitchville Gunbower marked its first match of the season at Leitchville by taking on North Bendigo.
