Ellinbank District FNLWarragul Gazette | Longwarry has surprised Lang Lang with an 11-goal win in A grade on Saturday.

The young Crows, who sit ninth on the ladder, may have landed a major blow to the Tigers' finals aspirations with the upset result.

It was a close game until the final quarter, with the Tigers up by three at quarter time, and the Crows by three at half-time and three-quarter time.

Assisted by the handy inclusion of Warragul defender Ella Rees - who was able to play due to Gippsland League's bye - and with coach Holly Stephens sinking her goals, Longwarry had a 15-7 final quarter for the 52-41 win.

The upset means Trafalgar and Yarragon remain in fourth and fifth respectively despite losses on Saturday.

Trafalgar pushed the undefeated Neerim South all the way in their game, going down 37-42.
