Match Reviews | NORTH Bendigo achieved a long-awaited A-grade netball victory against White Hills in Saturday’s third round in the Bendigo Bank Heathcote DFNL season.
The Kiralee Kinder-coached North Bendigo teamed superbly on the Demons’ court at Winslow Constructors Oval in White Hills to record a 48-37 victory.
The team in red, white and blue had not beaten White Hills in the league’s top grade in nine years.
Although it had not played for a couple of weeks because of the Easter break and then bye, North Bendigo made a brilliant start against the red and black and did not let up.
The Elly Lawton-coached White Hills has the bye next Saturday before it plays at Huntly on May 17.
The great form of the Harlowe Huntly Hawks kept rolling against Elmore.
At half-time it was the Annie Hockey-coached Elmore which led 27-17.
After the break the brown and gold took charge in all thirds of the court.
Huntly won the third term, 15-4, and then closed out the match brilliantly.
