Loddon Valley FNLMatch Reviews | BRIDGEWATER jumped ahead of Newbridge on the A-grade netball ladder after Saturday’s 16th round of Bendigo Bank Loddon Valley FNL action.

The century mark was reached in the cold and wet conditions as Bridgewater hosted Newbridge in a match crucial to a top-three finish and double chance at finals time.

The Caz Wood and Olivia Hoiles-coached Bridgewater teamed superbly to claim a 62-38 victory and jumped above the Maroons to the third rung.

A Newbridge team coached by Selina Holland and .Kristy Gandy worked hard, but could not stop a well-drilled Mean Machine in this contest.

Mitiamo did not have a cruisy run against Bears-Lagoon Serpentine at Mitiamo’s John Forbes Oval.

The Superoos won 45-35, but the Bears took it right up to the reigning premier which is unbeaten.

The Abbey Battersby and Jess Kaur-coached Mitiamo takes on Marong next round.

Defeat has meant the Danielle O’Toole and Lara Clements-coached Bears will not feature in finals this season.

The Marong Panthers were too strong for Maiden Gully YCW Eagles at Marist College Oval in Maiden Gully.

A 65-25 win by the Bridget Willox-coached Marong ensured a top five finish at least.
