Match Previews | SIBLING and coaching rivalry flares up this Saturday in week two of the split 14th round in Bendigo Bank Bendigo FNL A-grade netball.
The Jayden Cowling-coached Kangaroo Flat will take on the Lauren Bowles-coached South Bendigo on the Roos’ court in Dower Park at 2.30pm.
When these teams met in Indigenous Round it was Jayden and the Roos who took honours in an 83-19 result at Kennington’s Harry Trott Oval.
The Roos are unbeaten in their quest to go one better after being runner-up to Gisborne last season.
Dower Park is where Lauren Bowles’ brilliant career began.
The talented mid-courter was a premiership winner with the Roos and was a multiple premiership-winning coach with White Hills in the Heathcote DFNL.
Bowles took on the challenge of returning to the Bendigo league as South Bendigo coach this season.
The Bloods have a win-loss tally of five-five and also drew with Eaglehawk under the Queen Elizabeth Oval lights on Anzac Day.
