Match Previews | The Hampden FNL enjoyed a successful debut Under 23 interleague netball fixture against the Ballarat FNL last weekend, with the entertaining contest finishing in a 43-all draw.
The match was played in great spirit and provided a fantastic opportunity for some of the league’s brightest young talent to experience representative netball at a higher level now that they have progressed through their junior pathways.
The inaugural U23 concept proved a major success and highlighted the depth of emerging talent across the Hampden competition.
It was a hard-fought and highly competitive game throughout, with both leagues trading momentum across the four quarters.
Koroit star Layla Monk was a standout performer, particularly with her defensive pressure and ability to impact crucial moments throughout the match.
A huge thank you must go to all nine players who made themselves available to represent the Hampden FNL, embracing the opportunity with professionalism and enthusiasm.
