Match Previews | Two of the Hampden FNL's leading netball umpires had the opportunity to work alongside some of the country's best officials at Portland on the weekend.
Double AA Badged umpire James Matthews partnered Charley Samson in the Open match between Portland and South Warrnambool, while A Badged umpire Jamie Maher teamed up with Lauren Hockley in the Division 1 contest.
The appointments provided valuable experience for both Matthews and Maher and further highlighted the quality and depth of the league's umpiring ranks.
The opportunity to work with highly credentialed officials is invaluable and reflects the continued development of the HFNL's umpiring program. It was a great experience for both umpires and another
example of the strong pathways available within the competition.
Another significant milestone will be celebrated this weekend when Hamilton Kangaroos stalwart Hayley Sherlock runs out for her 300th game at Melville Oval.
