Weekly Advertiser | All eyes will be on Pimpinio Recreation Reserve this weekend, with a round-18 clash between the hometown Tigers and Kaniva-Leeor United set to potentially decide the finals fates of three netball teams.

The Tigers and Cougars are, along with Natimuk United, vying for one remaining place in the Horsham District league A Grade top five.

Pimpinio holds pole position entering the final round, with an 8-7 record and a percentage of 102.37.

Equal on wins and only four percentage points behind is Natimuk United, while Kaniva-Leeor United trails both clubs by a win but has a superior percentage of 110.16.

If the Cougars beat the Tigers on Saturday they will likely vault past both teams, unless Natimuk United is able to cause an upset in its match against Edenhope-Apsley, in which case the Rams will punch their post-season ticket.

While there is plenty at stake on the fringe of the finals race, the league’s top sides are also jostling for position.

Laharum can seal the minor premiership if it beats Harrow-Balmoral this weekend, but Noradjuha-Quantong could pip the Demons at the post with a win and an upset from the Roos.

Edenhope-Apsley looks destined to finish third barring a surprise Noradjuha-Quantong loss to Taylors Lake this weekend, while Kalkee will finish fourth regardless of its result against Swifts.

The Kees had been in contention for a top-three finish until a thrilling game on Saturday that saw Noradjuha-Quantong emerge with a 34-33 win.
