Match Previews | It has been a huge week for the Hampden Football Netball League, with some outstanding news highlighting the strength and depth of our junior netball pathway.
Several of our talented junior netballers have been named in the Top 50 squads for the Victorian trials, a wonderful achievement that recognises not only their individual talent, but also the development programs provided by their clubs and the league.
In the Under 17 squad, Warrnambool is represented by Lucy Howland and Rushleigh Jefferies, while Camperdown has two representatives in Kiara Love and Maddie Lucas.
The Under 19 squad also features some familiar Hampden FNL names, with Koroit’s Indi O’Connor and Camperdown’s Piper Stephens selected, along with emerging Koroit talent Hannah O’Keefe.
It is a tremendously pleasing announcement and one that shines a light on the outstanding junior talent developing across our region. Credit must go to the players, their families, coaches, volunteers and,
importantly, their clubs, who continue to provide the environment and opportunities for these young athletes to flourish.
