Match Previews | The opening weekend of the Westvic Scaffolding Finals Series certainly did not disappoint, with some outstanding netball played across two high-quality finals.

Koroit were too strong in the Qualifying Final against Warrnambool, taking control of the contest in the first half and establishing a commanding 15-goal lead by the main break.

The Saints never looked back, booking themselves a place in the Second Semi Final against South Warrnambool.

For Koroit, the opportunity is now there to qualify for successive Open Grand Finals, but South Warrnambool will provide a significant challenge when the two sides meet this Saturday.

The match of the weekend, however, came in the Elimination Final between Cobden and Port Fairy, with the contest going right down to the wire before extra time was required.

It was the Bombers who eventually prevailed, keeping their season alive and earning another opportunity to push towards the premiership. Grace Taylor and Emily Finch led the way for Cobden in a terrific finals performance.
