Geelong Times | An injection of fun and the threat of a good spray have helped keep South Barwon’s A-grade netballers on track this season.

Captain Georgia Corbett said the return of co-coaches Renee Lane and Sascha Romeril had brought a welcome change to the Swans in 2026.

“If you look at the last few years, we’ve had a few coaches come through and try their best with our team but it seems like these guys really work really hard behind the scenes and tailor each training and game to what each player needs,” Corbett said.

“They’ve been exceptional.“Laney is really good at having fun at stages so then we know when it is serious and time to turn it on.

”The approach has suited a young and jovial group, with Corbett saying the players’ respect for their coaches had helped drive their success.

There has also been some light-hearted motivation to stay on Lane’s good side, with Corbett joking that the team was yet to experience one of the coach’s famous sprays.

“I think we really respect her,” she said.
